The felt throws and vases produced by the Artisans for Africa – afilliated studio of Peta - Lee in Johannesburg, South Africa, are beautiful examples of the versatile nature of felt.. the soft bubbled texture of many f her products and the wonderful texture and extraordinaryily versatile dimensions and textures which abound in all her products, are testimony to the the extraordinary nature of felt.
Each vase is a glass vessel encased in the most beautifully executed felt design with a variety of intricate finishes including her trademark bubbles – in three versions, crocheted felting and even the magnificent silk paint effect which involves the “painting” of silk strands into the weave of the felt to create a three dimensional effect that surpasses anything that can be imagined.
