The felt cushions produced by the Artisans for Africa – affiliated studio of Peta- Lee in Johannesburg, South Africa, are beautiful examples of the versatile nature of felt. The soft bubbled texture her products and the wonderful texture and extraordinarily versatile dimensions which abound in all her products, are testimony to the extraordinary nature of felt.
Each cushion is a work of art and can be custom made to order in a spectrum of naturally hand-dyed felt. Like the vases, lamps and throws, the cushions are individually hand-made in varying sizes in the most beautifully executed felt design with a variety of intricate finishes including her trademark bubbles – in three versions, crocheted felting and even the magnificent silk paint effect which involves the "painting" of silk strands into the weave of the felt to create a three dimensional effect that surpasses anything that can be imagined.
